Proton Malaysia Open Super Series 2008

This would be another super outdated post. Two weeks ago, I went to watch the Proton Malaysia Open Super Series 2008 at Stadium Putra. Actually I went for the Quarter Final Match and the Final which is fall on 20 January. On the final day, I went there together with Jiun Kei and Chye Hsiang.

The final match starts around 1.30pm. As usual, the first match will be the Mixed Double Finals.I didn’t took much photo as my camera is not really able to capture the fast motion photo especially when using the zoom. Hence, all the photo is snap when they stand still.*keke*

The Mixed Double Finals is China against Korea and the winner is China.

Then follow by the Women Single final where China against Denmark. Surprisingly, the Dragon Killer again has another outstanding performance that beats Zhu Lin in rubber set.

There is once Rasmussen felt injured on her leg but luckily she is able to hold the position and finally won the match. This is really a tremendous task especially the opponent is from China.

After long waiting, this is the time where our Malaysian No.1 Men’s Single, Lee Chong Wei played against Lee Hyun II from Korea. Luckily, Chong Wei did’t disappoints the local fans by winning the title after playing the rubber set.

After the Men’s Single Final, we already stay in the stadium for more than 4 hours, hence we decide to go out and have some drinks while the not so interesting Women Doubles Final is on call. The match is not so interesting because the China teams dominate the finals and I really don’t have felt any passion on watching it. While we having some walk outside the stadium, we met the Malaysia Royal Supporter, the King inside the stadium. You guys must see him before,I saw him ever since I start watch badminton live cast from RTM station till now.

After the rest, we head back to our seat for the next match which is also the last finale where Denmark will play against Indonesia in Men’s Doubles. For your information; this Denmark pairs are the one that beat two of Malaysia’s pairs, Koo & Tan, and Chong & Lee in a row. After watching the finale which consists of a lot of unforce error, the Indonesia’s pair win the title after rubber set.

Today is the Day

Latest Update(12.39PM,12 Sept 2007)
Yes,today is definitely Lee Chong Wei's day.He won the match against Lin Dan with straight set 21-19,21-15,and definitely I am watching the match and I saw Lin Dan face full with disappoinment.Lee Chong Wei will meet Taufik Hidayat in the final.

Today will be the semifinal round for Japan Open Super Series 2007.As I mention that day,Malaysia left the only Men's Single Lee Chong Wei who survive from the Round 2 and also the quarter final where he defeats China Single's Chen Jin in straight set with world class performance,21-7,21-16.

Today,is a big day to Lee Chong Wei because he is going to face Lin Dan,the China World Ranking No.1,and also the top seed of this tournament. This match will be the tough one for Lee Chong Wei eventhough he beat Lin Dan recently during the Sudirman Cup but still Lin Dan is always a giant to play against.Hopefully our country representative can perform in his best to beat Lin Dan.

Come on guys, let make a guess on the result between this two players,Lee Chong Wei or Lin Dan??Who will be the winner??Personally i prefer Lee Chong Wei proceed to the final because the high potential finalist will be Taufik Hidayat from Indonesian which will play against his teamate,Simon Santoso in another semifinal match.Hopefully this will be another classic final in the Japan Open Super Series 2007.As a Malaysian,I really hope that we can see this face again after the few months ago Sudirman Cup tournament.

Disappointed after the defeat by Lee Chong Wei during the Sudirman Cup 2007

Let's pray for Lee Chong Wei.No offense to those Lin Dan's supporter, okay! You are free to comment too.I will update the latest result,so, stay tune!

Japan Open Super Series 2007

As you all know, I am a superfan of badminton games. The Japan Open Super Series 2007 is on the heat now.The tournament start on yesterday and today is the second day of the tournament, which also means the start of Round 1 as the first day is for the preliminary round.

Since the Indian Open which suppose held during 4 September was postponed, hence, the Japan Opne Super Series will be the first international game after the disappointed World Badminton Championship Tournament which hosts by Malaysia.Once again,Malaysia's player is having hard luck for the draw where Lee Chong Wei will play against Hafiz Hashim in the first round, while the veteran player Wong Choong Hann will face the ex-world No.1 Peter Gade from Denmark. The same thing happens to Malaysian pairs where Koo Kian Kiat & Tan Boon Heong will play against Tan Bin Shen & Ong Soon Hock which are also from Malaysia.

Malaysia No.1 Men Single, Lee Chong Wei

The latest result after the Round 1 match from the Super Series 2007,the Malaysia No.1 Men Single Lee Chong Wei defeats Hafiz Hashim with 22-20,21-8.Besides,Roslin Hashim and Yeoh Kay Bin also successfully proceed to Round 2 while the veteran Wong Choong Hann was defeated by the ex-world No.1 Peter Gade with both set 15-21,15-21.For men's double, there are only two pairs forward to Round 2.It is sadly to say that there are only two pairs make it to Round 2 while Malaysia have 6 pairs fighting in Round 1.For the result of the women's event,You may check it through the above link.

Hopefully, the Malaysian representatives may achieve better result than just always disappointing us.I trully hope that Koo Kian Kiat & Tan Boon Heong would achieve to the final. This Japan Open means a lot to them. For your information, the Japan Open 2006 is their first international tournament since they were paired up together and they successfully go through to the final round during the Japan Open 2006 but end up getting the Silver Medal. This is why I trully hope that they will be the gold medalist for this year Japan Open.
